She's Back!...And What I'm Working On

It's been 10 days since I had my sewing machine. Torture? Yes. I just didn't feel like the same me and I could only cut out so much fabric or procrastinate on those easily avoidable things to do. The process of getting my machine cleaned certainly did not come without a little drama. To make a long story short, I picked up my machine only to find out they never cleaned it!! Ahh!! What? How does this happen? Well, apparently between the new computer system and the new-to-the-system employee, my machine was listed as complete from the day I brought it in.
After 10 days, I brought it home to find this...Ah!
Thankfully, the owner called me to apologize and offered to clean it right away. Three hours later I had a cleaned machine.
Much better!!

I couldn't get sewing fast enough. After making dinner, I descended to my sewing room to start piecing the fabric for one of the several projects I had cut out while I was without my machine.
Most of what I'll be working on in the next few weeks are custom ordered quilts. I'm going to be making two more Children at Play chevron quilts for a sweet and lovely customer of mine. It's a good day when I get to work with Sarah Jane fabrics.
And, I hope to start piecing together the triangles for the black and white quilt sometime soon as well.
It feels so good to be sewing again. I was a little lost without my machine. As for those easily avoidable tasks I hoped to accomplish in the meantime, let's just say I tried. They aren't call "easily avoidable" for no reason.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Oh dear! The last time my machine was serviced, he cobbled together his own light "fixture" because he didn't have my little globes on hand >.<

  2. Ooooh, I can't wait to see your new projects!!!

  3. I really liked it. This was really a cordial post. Thanks a lot! best sewing machine 2019
