Dad's Quilt: In Progress

After returning from my crafting retreat (see post here) and having all my blocks sewn and trimmed, I looked forward to this part -- arranging all the block for my dad's quilt. This is the part that gives you some sort of visual of what it may look like in the end -- and I'm liking what I see so far.  I've been busy sewing each column together.
And we finally got some sun around here, so I took advantage of it when photographing these strips.
I stuck with a traditional, classic, half square triangle design that I thought would lend itself to a masculine quilt.
Only a few more piles to sew together and then I can finish sewing the entire top together.
I'm hoping to have this quilt finished sometime early next week.

Have a great weekend.
